Great Protection - Relatively Easy Install

I installed the Cat Shield along with the optional protection for the resonators on my 2007 Tundra Limited - Crew max 4X4 by myself relatively easily. I used a hydraulic floor jack to lift the Cat Shield into position so it was a fairly simple process to bolt it into place. That said there are a few things I think Millercat can improve upon with the Cat shield. First, the installation instructions are lacking and has errors. First, the instructions to install the left and right wings indicates that there are L and R markings to identify left and right wings. I did not have those markings. It also says to make sure the MILLERCAT "M" logo is oriented correctly but there are no diagrams to show what "Correctly" is. The only hint that they are correct is by aligning the vent directions to match the vent on the main shield. For the Rivet Nut installation, it says to use a 12mm and 10mm wrench. The 12mm is wrong. You need a 14mm wrench and a 10mm wrench.
As far as the cat shield itself, if you're like me and perform a Transmission Drain and Fill every 60K miles, The Cat Shield completely blocks access to the drain, fill and check plugs. You have to remove the Cat Shield before you can perform the service. The Cat Shield could be designed to have a cut-out to gain access to those plugs. Maybe even a bolt on hatch with non-security bolts. This would still provide plenty of protection for the Cats. And finally, those fiddly Nut plates. Why not just use one piece of metal that spans across both holes? That would make installation 1000 times easier! It would certainly make removing the Cat Shield much easier as it would give you something to grab onto to break the thread lock loose. All in all, the quality is great and does provide the advertised protection.

The Cat Shield arrived on time, was easy for me and the wife to install and I would recommend it as good protection for your vehicle.
