The Gen 2 Cat Shield ™ offers the most protection out of any product in the market. The bottom lip deters thieves from cutting the rear pipe. Louver vents provide efficient cooling, visibility for smog techs to read the converter part number, and protects the vehicle from debris. Fully removable, galvanic corrosion resistant, and no large openings for thieves to cut through. We highly recommend pairing this shield with our Deadbolt.

I purchased and installed two Cat Shields in both of my 2007 priuses. The directions and installation went smoothly. However, both vehicles are now experiencing loud rattling at low speeds. This seems to be due to a need to replace exhaust hangers, which is a common issue in Gen 2 cars due to age and wear. It would have been nice for the instruction materials to reference this possibility and potentially include an option to buy these cheap and easy to replace hangers on the Miller site so that I wouldn't have to jack up both cars and fix later.
After installing 3 plates on the same gen 2 Prius- I am happy with the plate. I recommend providing a 25/64 drill bit as they hard to source. Oreilleys and Home Depot do not stock them.
Excellent customer service. The shipments was very smooth. Highly recommended.
Shipping delays prevented installation to date.
I just bought and installed two of them. A friend's catalytic converter was stolen last year and ours was stolen this year. The install went as expected. I ordered the rivet tool and drill bit off amazon for ~$50. It took ramps on the front and jack stands on the back to get the car high enough to do the work. The first one took 2 hours and the second 1.5 hours. No system is perfect, but it will slow them down a bit - hopefully enough so they move on.
