The Honda Element Cat Shield™ is the most advanced, comprehensive, and convenient protection device for your Honda Element. Completely made from 304 stainless steel, it is a two piece design that allows maximum protection from thieves and allows the heat from the converter to escape and not trap it inside a shield. The shield is secured with tamper-proof screws, which allows the shield to be removed for maintenance but secure from thieves.
Fits all 2003-2011 Honda Elements with AWD and a OEM converter. *At this time the shields do not fit with side steps unless the extended bracket is removed. Comes with front and rear shields, installation hardware, tamper-proof screw kit, Cat Shield Protected sticker, and detailed installation guide.
REQUIRED TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION. Rivet Nut Tool with M6 Mandrel/Head, 1/4" bit driver, 10mm and 12 mm socket, drill, and 25/64 drill bit (no pilot bit). Installation Guide
*Professional installation recommended.

I purchased a Cat Shield for my 2007 Honda Element after learning it's a prime target for CC theft. I took the shield to a local muffler shop who installed, per the manual. I drove away feeling good but 10 minutes out it started making noise as the Cat Shield periodically came in contact with elements of the exhaust system, CC, pipe, etc. The mechanic who installed it took it in again and ground out a bit of the shield, on the two areas that it had the highest likelihood of contact. After that adjustment, no more noise and I'm satisfied with it, and sleep easier knowing it's installed.
Final note - I was a little disappointed that I wrote an email to Miller asking for advice on fixing this and never received a follow up email or phone call.
Thank you for your reply. We always appreciate every review and have made changes based on people's reviews. We are sorry to hear about your issues. We are very sensitive to complaints about noise and vibration because we put in a lot of testing to make a device that you will not hear. Sometimes it can be the engine mounts (that fade over time and need replacing) and sometimes the issues can require a design change. We frequently reach out to installers to hear about issues like yours so we can look to see if design changes are necessary.
We are sorry that you did not receive a response from us when you reached out to us. Can you let us know to which email you sent your question? We aim to be very responsive to customer questions and issues and want to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thank you again.
We haven't used Millercat shield yet; the catalytic converter is being replaced and the exhaust system repaired today. We're having the shield installed, delighted to have some kind of protection so we'll let you know if it works.
I’m not sure if the mechanic that installed the shield did something wrong but my Element sounds horrible now. While driving, especially as my vehicle warms up, there is a very loud rattling coming from where the shield was installed. I’m going to have someone take a look at it to make sure it was installed correctly.
If it was installed correctly and this is just how the cat shield causes my Element to sound/perform, I will have to remove it and find a different solution.
Currently, I would not recommend this particular cat shield. I’m disappointed because after researching the various brands, this one seemed like the best. However, the sounds coming from underneath my Element make me afraid to drive it.
Edited to add:
My mechanic took a look and my heat shield is not attached correctly and is rattling/scraping against the heat shield. The noise is always worse after my Element warms up as metal expands when it gets hot.
I’ll get my heat shield reattached to the frame of the car and hopefully that will help with the sound.
Overall my Stainless Steel MILLERCAT 2003-2011 Honda Element Cat Shield™ seems to work great, as in, my catalytic converter hasn't been stolen! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because sometimes there is a rattling or vibrating noise that can be heard because of the shield. I had my shield installed by a Honda Dealership, so I figured if they can't install it without lasting noise issues than the only people who can are probably MillerCat employees. Luckily the noise isn't noticeable the majority of the time!
