The Honda Element Cat Shield™ is the most advanced, comprehensive, and convenient protection device for your Honda Element. Completely made from 304 stainless steel, it is a two piece design that allows maximum protection from thieves and allows the heat from the converter to escape and not trap it inside a shield. The shield is secured with tamper-proof screws, which allows the shield to be removed for maintenance but secure from thieves.
Fits all 2003-2011 Honda Elements with AWD and a OEM converter. *At this time the shields do not fit with side steps unless the extended bracket is removed. Comes with front and rear shields, installation hardware, tamper-proof screw kit, Cat Shield Protected sticker, and detailed installation guide.
REQUIRED TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION. Rivet Nut Tool with M6 Mandrel/Head, 1/4" bit driver, 10mm and 12 mm socket, drill, and 25/64 drill bit (no pilot bit). Installation Guide
*Professional installation recommended.
We anticipate more shields to be available in late September 2021. Thank you for your patience.

I had my MillerCat installed by the Honda dealership after my catalytic converter was stolen by thieves last month. It looks great and like it might be a deterrent, I hear a lot of mixed thoughts on this topic, catalytic converter theft is very hot in my area right now so only time will tell. There is a distinct deep rattle in the low gears and when under load as when going up hills. This is in spite of purchasing the correct Millercat for my Honda element and having it professionally installed.
The thief came to my place twice! First time, the police scared them away, the second time, the thieves finished sawing off the cat off my Honda Element. They were a team of three: two look outs while the skinny guy shimmied underneath to saw off my cat and 02 sensors. I got this Cat Shield as a deterrence. Will it prevent the thief? to a certain extent, it will slow them down and make more noise. Although I got an aftermarket cat replacement, thieves don't care. It will just make the thieves hit someone else's car.
Cat Shield was easily installed by a licensed Honda mechanic (whom happens to be my brother) on my 2004 Honda Element DX after someone stole my catalytic converter. The noise coming from the Cat Shield is really bad. It's most noticeable when slowing down for a stop sign/light or when in stop/go traffic. Houston has lots of congestion so the noise pretty annoying/unbearable. Definitely feel like I wasted $270 on the Cat Shield. Will probably remove the Cat Shield and take my chances....
Hello, thank you for sharing your experience. Did you replace your converter with an OEM or aftermarket converter? Our shields were specifically designed to protect OEM converters. If you replaced your stolen converter with an OEM converter, try replacing the exhaust hangers. Thank you.
Our MillerCat Honda Element Cat Shield arrived very quickly. We had a local auto shop do the installation. They said it was a bear to install and it took them 3 hours. There is no rattling or noise after installation. It looks like a deterrent to me. If I were a thief, I’d move on. I am very happy with our purchase. It offers peace of mind. And I feel certain it will save us time and money not dealing with a theft. We were lucky to have this done before experiencing a cc theft. Grateful for MillerCat.
Fingers crossed! Had my Cat stolen about a month ago. I ordered the Cat Shield and it came very quickly, which was a relief. I needed to get it installed before a road trip the very next week. So far so good. I have been driving with the shield installed for three weeks now (Honda Element). The garage that installed it assured me they would do adjustments if there was rattle or excessive noise. It's been fine. I haven't had to come back and make any changes. I know it's not a guarantee, but it makes me feel a little better having it there.
